過去にILMやBlur, Atomic Fiction, Ubisoft, Activision, Prime Focus等で働いた経験を持つVFXスーパーバイザーのAllan McKay氏が、他のアーティストと協力して作った“映画『Venom（ヴェノム）』のシーンを再現した7時間にも及ぶチュートリアル”を11月6日に公開すると発表した。
チュートリアルは5本のビデオからなり、映画『Venom』のシーンを”Recreating”したとのことだ。
チュートリアルで使われているモデル、アセット、High-Res Sculpted Venom Model等もダウンロード可能とのこと。またコースは実際のVFX映画での仕事の流れに基づいてるため将来的に海外のVFX業界で働きたいという人も必見だろう。
なお、チュートリアルを見るためには現地時間の11月6日(日本時間7日)12日(日本時間13日)までにサインアップ（名前とメールアドレスのみで可）をする必要があるため急いたほうが良いだろう。
公開から約2週間は無料。無料で手に入れれるのはこの期間だけで、その後は有料とのこと。

『ヴェノム』のチュートリアルの公開は予定より1週間ほど遅れ、LA時間の12日月曜日（日本時間13日）米国時間の14日水曜日（日本時間15日）にリリース予定とのことです。さらに来年2月ごろには『ゴジラ』等をベースにした街の破壊のチュートリアル（Max/Houdini)をリリースするつもりだそうです。

I have a brand new, 7-hour, high end visual effects training coming out. There will be 5 videos that will recreate VFX from the feature Venom. I’ve had some amazing artists collaborate with me on this one.
In addition, I will be releasing new training this month: VENOM! It’s high-end, free crash course on creative visual effects from the film. It will be only available to my Inner Circle List for two weeks. It will never be available to the public for free. I’ve always put up the free training and then archive it after two weeks. That meant that everyone would be in a rush to get the work done — which is the most effective way to do it. It’s an immersive way to study!
In the future, I will be putting up these Courses for sale. I mention this because it’s an incentive for you to do it for free. If you don’t, you can always buy it for free later. So, eventually, this will be released with a price tag. But again, it’s more about you to have the incentive to get off your butt and take action now! If you sign up right now, you’re save hundreds of dollars and studying the material for free.
